At Sonyja, sustainability is not a trend — it is the foundation of how we work. Every piece is crafted from recycled precious metals, chosen because beautiful jewellery should not come at the expense of the planet.

Recycled Silver 925

Our silver is sourced from certified recycled origins — recovered from post-industrial and post-consumer sources, then refined to the same 92.5% purity as newly mined silver. The result is identical in quality, brilliance, and durability, with a significantly reduced environmental impact.

Mining silver is resource-intensive, generating large quantities of waste and consuming significant energy and water. By choosing recycled silver, we avoid contributing to new extraction while maintaining the premium standard our jewellery demands.

Recycled Gold

Where we work with gold, we use recycled gold — refined from recovered jewellery, electronics, and industrial sources. Gold mining is one of the most environmentally damaging forms of extraction, responsible for significant habitat destruction, mercury pollution, and carbon emissions.

Recycled gold is chemically identical to newly mined gold and meets the same purity standards. Choosing it means the same warmth, lustre, and longevity — without the environmental cost of new extraction.

Small-Batch, Handcrafted Making

Each Sonyja piece is made by hand in small batches. We do not overproduce. We do not hold excess stock. This intentional approach means less waste, more care, and a piece that is made with purpose — for you, not for a shelf.

Handcrafting also means that every ring, earring, bracelet, and necklace carries the mark of the maker. Slight variations are not imperfections — they are evidence of the human hands behind your jewellery.
